NIA — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website located at meetnia.com, our products, and our Text Nia feature. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase or activating any feature.

1. About Nia

Nia is a perinatal care brand founded by Asasiya Wilson, CPM, LM (The People’s Midwife). Nia offers physical consumer products, digital resources, and the Text Nia feature. Nia is not a medical practice, healthcare provider, or clinical service.

2. Products and Orders

All orders placed through meetnia.com are subject to availability. Nia reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion. Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed.

All sales are final unless the product arrives damaged or defective. If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at the email address listed on our contact page.

3. Text Nia Feature — Important Disclaimer

Text Nia is an informational and educational text-based support feature. By activating or subscribing to Text Nia, you acknowledge and agree to all of the following:

Educational Purpose Only. Text Nia provides general health information and educational content related to pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. All content delivered through Text Nia is for informational and educational purposes only.

Not Medical Advice. Nothing communicated through Text Nia constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.

No Patient-Provider Relationship. Use of the Text Nia feature does not establish a patient-provider relationship of any kind between you and Asasiya Wilson, CPM, LM, or any representative of Nia. Participation in Text Nia should not be interpreted as clinical care, midwifery care, or any form of regulated healthcare service.

Not a Crisis or Emergency Service. Text Nia is not a crisis line, emergency service, or substitute for emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. For mental health crises, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Response Times. Text Nia operates Tuesday through Saturday. Responses are provided within 48 hours during operating hours. Nia does not guarantee response times and is not responsible for any outcomes related to delayed responses.

Escalation. When a concern is raised that may require medical attention, Nia will direct users to seek care from a qualified healthcare provider. This escalation is a standard part of the service and does not constitute a clinical assessment or diagnosis.

Data Collection and Language Model Development. By using Text Nia, you acknowledge that anonymized interactions may be used to develop and improve natural language models focused on Black maternal health communication. No personally identifiable information will be used without your explicit consent. You may opt out of data collection at any time by contacting us directly.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nia and its founder, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products, website, or Text Nia feature. This includes but is not limited to any health outcomes, reliance on educational content, or delays in seeking medical care.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on meetnia.com, including but not limited to text, images, product designs, and the Nia name and logo, is the intellectual property of Nia and Asasiya Wilson. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

6. Privacy
